Expert Appraisal & Valuation
Expert examination and valuation of jewellery provide a precise understanding of what you own: the characteristics of the gemstones, the quality of the cut, the condition and security of the setting, and confirmation that the piece matches its stated specifications. The appraisal is conducted personally by the brand’s founder, Alexey Potapovich – a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Graduate Gemologist with many years of hands-on experience working with precious stones and fine jewellery. Annual attendance at international trade shows, together with in-depth market knowledge and real-world pricing insight, enables us to form an objective view of a piece’s value. As we are jewellery manufacturers ourselves, our valuations consider not only the gemstones’ attributes, but also the true cost of the jewellery work and craftsmanship. This results in a balanced, professional report – for personal records, insurance, estate planning and inheritance, resale, or further work on the piece.

How does it work?
- Bring your gemstone or jewellery piece for expert evaluation
- Our GIA-certified gemmologist conducts a comprehensive assessment
- We determine the market value based on prevailing prices
- You receive a written gemmological report detailing the description and valuation
Idea
In thirty years in the jewellery business, I have seen countless instances in which people paid tens of times more than a piece was truly worth – or sold, for a pittance, something that was worth a fortune. Once, a woman came to me with earrings she had purchased back in the Soviet era. At that time, only the state was permitted to sell jewellery set with large diamonds. For a pair set with half‑carat stones, she had paid the price of a three‑bedroom apartment in the city centre. She believed she owned a fortune, but the market reality was uncompromising: the state markup of that period had nothing to do with the stone’s investment value today. But there are miracles, too. One couple, strolling across Prague’s Old Town Square, found a pair of earrings they assumed were costume jewellery. They brought them to me out of simple curiosity. They turned out to be diamonds. Valuation: $20,000. I personally carry out authentication and valuation, guided by international GIA standards and three decades of hands‑on experience. As a maker, I see what often escapes the eye of a conventional appraiser: the complexity and quality of the jeweller’s workmanship, and the artistic potential of the piece. For me, expertise is not a formality – it is a tool that helps people make the right decisions and protect their assets. I am here so you can know the true value of your capital.
