Colored Gemstone Cutting
The cut of a coloured gemstone determines not only its appearance, but also its value. We work with both already-cut gemstones and rough. In some cases, we refine an existing cut – optimising proportions, symmetry and brilliance. In others, we cut from the rough, when a client brings unworked material and wishes to unlock its full potential. In every instance, we begin with the stone’s natural characteristics: hue, saturation, inclusions and crystal structure. This is third-generation cutting expertise, where every decision is made to preserve the material, the carat weight and the stone’s enduring value.

Idea
Over the years of working with coloured gemstones, I have become convinced that the cut is what determines a stone’s destiny. Having managed jewellery boutiques and pawnbroking houses, I have repeatedly seen stones with strong potential – potential compromised by poor cutting. That is why we treat the cutting of coloured gemstones not as a routine operation, but as the stewardship of an asset. I personally cut each stone, taking full responsibility for every decision – from preserving carat weight to refining the final proportions. Our purpose is to preserve the material, reveal its natural character, and give it its ideal form.
